How long have you been in business?
Edsel & Eleanor Ford House has been open to the public as a non profit organization since 1978.
What is your primary product or service?
Ford House preserves and shares the history of the site through interpretive tours, lectures, special events, classes, school tours and guided walks. The site is also available for wedding photography, showers and corporate events.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Edsel and Eleanor Ford had a lifetime love of art and design. Eleanor had seen the great estates in the area demolished and sought to preserve her estate and share it with future generations by establishing a trust to maintain the site.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
All historic sites are unique and tell different stories. For the business person, there is no other site like it - situated on beautiful Lake St. Clair - to host an event.

Visa, Mastercard, check, cash
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
The nonprofit is governed by a board of directors. The museum staff runs the daily operations.
What are your hours of operation?
General tours of the estate are offered Tuesday - Saturday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday noon - 4 p.m. Group tours and special functions can be arranged for other times.
