How long have you been in business?
RTI has been in business since 1986, almost 30 years.
What is your primary product or service?
RTI provides environmental, metallurgical and industrial testing for the public and private sectors. The environmental group specializes in sediment, water, air and remediation testing services. The materials group provides advanced product testing and standards verifications for steel, automotive and chemical industries.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
All of the senior management and owners individually have over 20 years experience in their fields. The RTI group of companies has been consolidated from some of the best laboratories in southeast Micigan over the last several years.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
The electronic interface with our clients makes their business easier than when using the competition. RTI's knowledgeable project managers inerface with their clients to assure that their data quality objectives are met, and that we are providing the value added services that helps their company operate effectively.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
RTI currently operates two laboratory facilities in Livonia and one service center in Gaylord, Michigan.

RTI is a regional company serving the entire United States and its Territories. About 50% of its business originates from the Midwest states.
