How long have you been in business?
Our first location was opened in southern Lebanon over fifty years ago. We continue that tradition till this day.
What is your primary product or service?
Our specialties are teas, fresh ground and hand mixed spices, fresh roasted nuts and especially well known for our fresh roasted Turkish coffee.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I started in the family business at the ripe age of 12. I still remember being inundated with pungent smells of different spices and coffee. My grandfather opened our first location in Bint J Bail, Lebanon in 1952 and my father continues to bring a taste of
Lebanon back to the states.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We take great care and effort into ensuring that our customers receive quality products that are fresh. We mix all our own spices from recipes that were handed down from my great grandmother. As far as the coffee goes we tried to custom create a mix of beans that closely emulated the roast that we still use in southern Lebanon till this day. The roasting of coffee is a highly skilled art form, the process begins by choosing quality green coffee beans and being able to blend specific beans from around the world, consistently, that marry well together. Our nuts are roasted fresh daily and that ensures a great tasting quality product. Many different nuts and seeds ensures people of all ages will be pleased.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have 3 locations and plan to open more soon, the main store in Dearborn, one in Dearborn Heights and the original in Lebanon. OUR COFFEE IS ONLY SOLD IN THOSE LOCATIONS AND NO WHERE ELSE!!!
