Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
We have been fully operational for 2 years as a for profit, private vocational school.
What is your primary product or service?
Environmental Safety and Health Training. Our specialty is in the areas of asbestos, lead and mold training. We also offer contracting and consulting services.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The staff at our facility has extensive business administration and teaching backgrounds.
What prompted us to open our own school?
We recognized that although asbestos, lead and mold training is not considered high demand job training; it quickly becomes so when faced with a prospective employer who simply ask: May we see a copy of your certification or accreditation card?
That's just not what we're telling you that's according to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Environmental Protection Agency.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our classes are considered fast track. Within as little as 4 to 5 days a student will receive both certification and accreditation by way of lecture, audio/visual and hands on training, and be completely job ready. Our training is considered as crossover training because once received an unemployed or underemployed worker can now apply to many other jobs that are considered in high demand.
We simply, fill a void that may be overlooked and cost someone a chance of potential employment within the environmental and building trades industry.
Another feature that sets us apart from others in our field is that: Our school begins new classes on a consistent basis every week to accommodate employer demands and employment retention requirements.
